About Us

Buying this business (in 2006) was "coming home" for us, Mary and Tom Sawdey.  Mary was born and raised in Auburn, NY and Tom was born and raised in Batavia, NY.  Tom's grandparents owned a florist shop in Batavia and Tom remembers running through their greenhouses as a young boy.  His green thumb, he is sure, comes from his grandfather!  Both avid gardeners, we just knew this was the business for us when we heard about it.

Coming home?  Tom and Mary have lived in Toledo OH, Raymond NH and Greenfield MA.  Tom worked for Friendly Ice Cream as a manager, Hickory Farms as an analyst and most recently as a buyer for Yankee Candle Corporation.  Mary also worked as a manager for Friendly Ice Cream and most recently was a Senior Branch Office Administrator for Edward Jones Investments.

It is great to be back in The Fingerlakes.  We both believe it is one of the most beautiful places in New York State.
